Itinochi is defined as the cloth woven on a wood by the Ebira women of Kogi state in North central Nigeria. The women are known to be very industrious and hardworking. Itinochi comes in beautiful intricate patterns; a textile art that has sustained homes and communities in Ebiraland for generations. This art has defined the cultural identity of the Ebira people in Nigeria. The Itinochi, also known as Okene cloth or Ebira cloth has been studied by notable intellectuals, used by international designers and has found its place in notable world stages.
